    ഭ്രാന്തു മൂത്താല്‍

    ലോക്കലൈസേഷന്‍ ഭ്രാന്തുമൂത്തു കവിതയും മൊഴിമാറ്റം ചെയ്യാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങിയതാണേ! പെരിങ്ങോടന്‍റെ ബ്ലോഗില്‍ നിന്ന് ഉമേഷിന്‍റേതിലേക്ക് ചാടിക്കയറിയപ്പോള്‍, സുജാത എന്നു പേരായ പെണ്‍കുട്ടി രചിച്ചതാണെന്ന കുറിപ്പുമായി കിടന്നിരുന്നതാണ് താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന വരികള്‍. അതിന് താഴെയുള്ളത് ഉമേഷിന്‍റെ മൊഴിമാറ്റം. അതിനും താഴെയുള്ളത് എന്‍റേതും.

    ഈ നിശ്ശബ്ദത - ഉണ്ടിതിന്നൊരു നറും സംഗീതം - ഇന്നെന്റെയീ
    ഗാനത്തിന്നു വിതുമ്പി നിന്ന ഹൃദയം തന്നില്‍ക്കടന്നിട്ടിതാ
    ഞാനോരാതെ, യതിന്റെയുള്ളിലതുലം ദ്വാരങ്ങളേഴെണ്ണമി-
    ട്ടാനന്ദാമൃതമേകിടുന്ന മുരളീനാദത്തെയുണ്ടാക്കി ഹാ!

    മൂകത മീട്ടും ഗീതം
    വന്നുതൊട്ടപ്പോളുള്ളം
    അത്ഭുതം, സപ്തദ്വാര
    മേളിതം കുഴലായി!

    "മേളിതം" എന്ന എന്‍റെ പ്രയോഗത്തിന് സാധുത ഉണ്ടോ എന്ന് അറിയില്ല. "മേളിക്കുക" എന്നാല്‍ "ചേരുക" എന്നാണ് ഒരു അര്‍ത്ഥം. "മേള" എന്നാല്‍ "ചേരല്‍" എന്നും. അപ്പോള്‍ "മേളിതം" എന്നാല്‍ "ചേര്‍ന്നുള്ള" എന്ന അര്‍ത്ഥം കിട്ടുമെന്നുള്ള വിചാരമാണ് എന്‍റെ യുക്തി. ഉമേഷ് ഇതൊന്നു വിശദീകരിക്കുമോ, അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ മറ്റാരെങ്കിലും?

    ആരാണ് സുജാത? സുജാതാദേവി, ദേവി എന്നീ പേരുകളില്‍ രണ്ട് കവയത്രികള്‍ നമുക്കുണ്ട്. ഉമേഷ് പറയുന്ന സുജാതയെപ്പറ്റി ഞാന്‍ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഇക്കുട്ടി മരിച്ചു പോയെന്നും ഉമേഷ് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലും ഒരുപോലെ എഴുതിയിരുന്ന ഈ സുജാതയെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള വിവരം ആരുടെയെങ്കിലും പക്കലുണ്ടോ?

    ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്‌ കവിത ഞാന്‍ അന്നു ആസ്വദിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നില്ല. എങ്കിലും ഈ വരികള്‍ എന്നെ വളരെ പിടിച്ചുകുലുക്കി. ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ പലതും കത്തിക്കരിഞ്ഞും ക്ലാവുപിടിച്ചും പോയിട്ടും ഈ നാലു വരികള്‍ അവിടെക്കിടന്നു.

    ഹൃദ്രോഗം മൂലമാണു സുജാത മരിച്ചതു്‌. മരിക്കുന്നതുവരെ സുജാതയിലെ കവിയെ ആരും അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല. ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ദ്വാരങ്ങളുണ്ടാവുന്ന രോഗമാണോ എന്നു്‌ അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ.

    അതിനു ശേഷം ഒരുപാടു കവിതകള്‍ ഞാന്‍ വായിച്ചു. ഇത്രയും ഹൃദയഹാരിയായ മറ്റൊരു കവിത ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

    ഒരുപാടു തവണ ഈ കവിത പരിഭാഷപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ ഞാന്‍ നോക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടു്‌. പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു. ഒരു പരാജയശ്രമമാണു സുനിലും ബെന്നിയുമൊക്കെ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചതു്‌. പലരും ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയപോലെ അതു നന്നായിട്ടില്ല. സ്കൂളിലോ പ്രീ-ഡിഗ്രിക്കു പഠിക്കുമ്പോഴോ എഴുതിയതാണു്‌ ആ പരിഭാഷ. ആ കാലത്തു തന്നെ എഴുതിയ വേറെ രണ്ടു പരിഭാഷകള്‍ താഴെച്ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നു:

    മൌനസംഗീതമിന്നെന്റെ
    ഹൃത്തില്‍ താമസമാക്കിയോ
    ഏഴു ദ്വാരങ്ങളിട്ടിട്ടൊ-
    രോടപ്പുല്‍ക്കുഴലാക്കുവാന്‍?

    മധുരമൊഴി തൂകിടും നിശ്ശബ്ദതയ്ക്കെന്റെ
    ഹൃദയമൊരു സംഗീതഗേഹമായ്‌ത്തീരവേ
    സുഷിരമതിലേഴെണ്ണമിട്ടുവോ, രമ്യമാം
    കളമുരളിയാക്കിക്കലാശം മുഴക്കുവാന്‍?
